Q – When Shooting RAW, is the best way to obtain other formats (such as ProRes) from RAW files to use Blackmagic Da Vinci Resolve?
A - Correct. You can use the BM Resolve “Lite” (free) version if you want to convert from RAW 4K to HD. You can also use this program as a free XAVC Reader. However, you will need to use the BM Resolve “Full” (paid) version if you want to convert from 4K to HD and above (i.e. 2K, 4K)
