Rise, an advocacy group for gender diversity within the broadcast manufacturing and services sector, has announced the pairings for its first mentoring scheme.
Vicky Holden, Managing Director of Procam Projects, the full-service multicamera and complex projects arm of Procam Group, was announced as one of the mentors on the programme. With over 17 years of experience in global broadcast facilities management, Holden brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the scheme.
The mentorship scheme is an opportunity for mentors to share industry-relevant information, give personalised one-on-one feedback and equip mentees with the tools and knowledge to be the next generation of leaders within their specific industries. Holden has committed to 12 hours of contact with her mentee, Sarah-Jane Jones, Booking Executive at Deluxe Media, which will be an opportunity to support and guide her through the next stages of her career.

RISE ANNOUNCES PAIRINGS FOR ITS INAUGURAL ALL FEMALE MENTORING SCHEME
4 May 2018 – Rise, the advocacy group for gender diversity within the broadcast manufacturing and services sector, announces today the pairings for its first mentoring scheme. The programme will see experienced industry leaders from the broadcast sector guide 17 women at varying levels of seniority to offer their expertise and knowledge. The scheme has been made possible due to sponsorship from Clear-Com (gold), Avid, Bubble Agency, Pixelogic, Sony DADC (silver) and Sohonet and Hootsuite (meetings).
Each mentoring placement involves 12 hours of contact, the opportunity to meet their mentee group on a monthly basis, plus attend networking events and workshops throughout the six-month period. The mentee group were chosen from over 35 applications and the mentees are based all over the UK.
“Rise believes that mentoring schemes not only encourages individuals to strive to become better at what they do but also supports and guides them through the stages of achieving their goals,” comments Sadie Groom, founder of Rise. “We have been overwhelmed by the number of people who applied for the scheme and thrilled to be able to offer our Rise mentees the experts that have signed up. This is going to be a great programme and we look forward to supporting the mentees careers and personal development.”
