Procam Take 2 is proud to have sponsored the SMPTE UK Virtual Production Showcase at Garden Studios on Wednesday, 22nd February 2023. 

In honour of the SMPTE ‘on-set virtual production initiative’, the event demonstrated a mix of cinematic theatrical performances driven by a menagerie of creative technologies within a large custom-built Virtual Production LED stage. For the VP demonstrations, Procam Take 2's London branch supplied DOP Richard Buffy Dunton with an ARRI Alexa Mini LF camera package, and grip, including a Chapman Super Peewee Mk3 Plus Dolly.

The evening's host walked attendees through a series of environments and supporting acts performed by the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts students, highlighting useful applications and effects to enhance production and capture realism on set. Throughout the showcase, industry experts discussed motion capture, on-set actor performance, lighting effects, camera tracking, colour calibration, extended bit depth, and Unreal Engine 5.
