We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend, Jamal Edwards.
His platform SBTV paved the way for new artists in the UK to thrive and we are truly honoured to have known and worked with him over the years.
Our thoughts go out to Jamal's family and all who knew him.
Words from Procam Take 2 CEO, John Brennan:
“I first met Jamal in 2016.
This vibrant character walked into my office and told me his story. He dearly wanted to help talented artists reach their goals. At the age of 15 he started a journey that would lead to him becoming an influential figure in the music business.
We talked about upcoming projects, the changes in how content is consumed and of course camera technology! He had a passion for creating content and would often shoot his own material.
Jamal would go on to introduce me to many people in the world of music. I, in turn would introduce him to the latest digital camera offerings.
Jamal would often send me photos of him on set with our equipment. I’ll cherish these.
A talent and an inspiration to many has left us far too soon. I’ll do my bit to ensure his legacy rolls on. RIP Jamal. Forever in my thoughts.”
