Procam Glasgow is proud to have supported Maramedia with camera equipment for wildlife trilogy: Stormborn.
The stunning 4K HDR series was filmed between February and November 2019 across Scotland, Norway, and Iceland, using RED DSMC2 HELIUM 8K S35 and RED EPIC-M Carbon Fibre DRAGON 6K cameras paired with Canon zoom lenses, including the Cine 50-1000, and Cine 17-120, by cinematographers Fergus Gill, Peter Barden, Asgeir Helgestad, Neil Anderson, Justin Purefoy, Sam Oakes, Stefan Forster, supported by others.
Narrated by Ewan McGregor, Stormborn follows a cast of enchanting animals including otters, arctic foxes, grey seals, orca whales, and puffins, surviving in the remote, northern edges of the Atlantic Ocean. The series was directed by Maramedia’s founding partners, Nigel Pope and Jackie Savery.
“Procam has been a fantastic supplier for Stormborn. We’ve been able to capture some stunning imagery on their RED cameras,” said Nigel Pope, Maramedia.
Stormborn is produced by Scotland-based Maramedia and was commissioned by 4K streaming platform Love Nature in association with Smithsonian Channel, ARTE France, BBC Scotland and Screen Scotland. The series is available internationally on Love Nature’s streaming platform and will premiere in the UK on Monday 30th November at 9pm on BBC ONE Scotland.
