Procam Take 2’s projects division proudly supported the filming of O Come All Ye Ravers, an Ibiza Classics Global Live Stream from Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley.

Pete Tong’s annual Ibiza Classics holiday performance would ordinarily have been a sell out show. Since 2016, the popular event has been held at London’s iconic O2 Arena year after year, however with covid restrictions preventing an in-person audience, the 2020 show went ahead in the 20,000 capacity venue with no audience present.

Global creative agency and production house Up The Game enlisted Procam Take 2 for filming support to capture the monumental show which was live-streamed across three time-zones on LIVEnow, allowing fans all over the world to watch, dance and sing along from the comfort of their own homes. The team worked closely with producers Josh Connolly and Kenny Cavey to ensure all technical filming requirements were met and bring director Toby L’s creative vision to life.

The concert was filmed using a total of ten ARRI cameras - six ARRI Amiras and four ARRI Alexa Minis. Using the ARRI’s in Multicam mode with a bespoke lens control system, the team were able to deliver a cinematic look while retaining all of the familiarity of a traditional live production workflow, with all cameras racked and controlled from the gallery. Supplied lenses included seven Canon Cine 17-120mm, two Canon Cine 50-1000mm lenses, and a Zeiss Ultra Prime 8R/T2.8 for a dramatic wide angle view of the arena.

The performance took place in the middle of the O2 Arena floor. To provide exciting variable height and motion shots of the action the projects team called upon camera tracking specialists Cammotion to supply Towercams (remotely operated telescopic towers) and an Agito tracking system. 16 Astera AX1 lights were supplied to provide a light-up walk-on corridor for Pete Tong from backstage.

In addition to equipment, Procam Take 2 also supplied a camera and technical support crew to ensure filming ran smoothly. This included a Technical Unit Manager, a Guarantee Engineer, a Camera Manager, Camera Operators, Focus Pullers, 2nd ACs, RF Engineers, Comms Engineers, Riggers, and a Data Wrangler.

“It was a pleasure to work with Up The Game on this spectacular live stream and bring the Ibiza energy to everyone watching at home. We understand how important it is to our clients to make their events the best they can possibly be and that's why we do everything we can to deliver stunning cinematic visuals and unforgettable experiences.” said Vicky Holden, Managing Director of Projects at Procam Take 2.
